Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025
Olyffe Avenue, Welling - Notice of Intention

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable the repair of a collapsed pipe by Cappagh Contractors on behalf of Thames Water they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Olyffe Avenue at the junction with Lovel Avenue, Welling

The Order will come into effect on 19 May 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 10 Days.

Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via,
• Lovel Avenue, Burnell Avenue and reverse
• Lovel Avenue, Upper Wickham Lane, Burnell Avenue and reverse

Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Frinsted Road, Erith - Notice of Making an Order

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable the installation of a new water main by Galliford Try on behalf of Thames Water the effects of which will be the introduction of:
• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Frinsted Road between the junction of Beechfield Road and the junction of Twiggs Close, Erith
• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Frinsted Road between the junction of Stuart Mantle Way and the junction of Filby Close, Erith
• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Frinsted Road between the junction of Filby Close and the junction of Birling Road, Erith

The Order will come into effect on 12 May 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 months.

Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via,
• Closure Between Beechfield Road and Twiggs Close use diversion
Frinsted Road, Stelling Road, Stuart Mantle Way and reverse
• Closure Between Stuart Mantle Way and Filby Close use diversions
Stuart Mantle Way, Stelling Road, Frinsted Road, Birling Road, Frinsted Road
Frinsted Road, Birling Road, Coylers Lane, Ramsden Road, Frinsted Road, Stelling Road, Stuart Mantle Way, Frinsted Road
• Closure Between Filby Close and Birling Road use diversion
Birling Road, Frinsted Road, Stelling Road, Stuart Mantle Way, Frinsted Road and reverse.

Exmouth Road, Welling - Notice of Making an Order

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable Forefront Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
• Prohibition of traffic on Exmouth Road, Welling, from the junction with Sidmouth Road to the junction with Okehampton Crescent, Welling
Restrictions to be removed when not required.

The Order will come into effect on 12 May 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 10 weeks.

Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
Okehampton Crescent, Plymouth Road, Budleigh Crescent, Seaton Road
Okehampton Crescent, Lodge Hill, Totnes Road, Sidmouth Road, Budleigh Crescent.
Access for residents will be via Okehampton Crescent only.

• Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Exmouth Road, Welling from the junction with Okehampton Crescent to the junction with Sidmouth Road, Welling

The Bexley (Bexleyheath Station) (Parking Places) (Amendment No. XX) Traffic Order 2025
The Bexley (Sidcup Station) (Parking Places) (Amendment No. XX) Traffic Order 2025
a) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make the above titled Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.
b) The general effect of the above-mentioned Amendment Order would be to amend the Bexley (Sidcup Station) (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2018:
• Reduce the existing Resident Permit Parking Bay in front of No 17 Neville Close, Sidcup by 5.0 metres
• The section of parking bay proposed to be removed currently operates between 1pm and 3pm, Monday to Friday; this will be replaced with a single yellow line restriction of ‘1pm and 3pm Monday to Friday’.
• There is a loss of one parking place.
c) The general effect of the above-mentioned Amendment Order would be to amend the Bexley (Bexleyheath Station) (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2018:-
• Reduce the existing Resident Permit Parking Bay in front of No 9 Somersham Road, Bexleyheath by 6.0 metres
• The section of parking bay proposed to be removed currently operates between 10.00am and 12.00pm, Monday to Friday; this will be replaced with a single yellow line restriction of ‘10.00am and 12.00pm Monday to Friday’.
• There is a loss of 3.9 metres of parking place.
d) Copies of the proposed Orders, the corresponding Parent Orders (and the Orders that have amended those Orders); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans which indicate the length of roads to which the Orders relate can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT.

e) Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objections and the grounds thereof, to the London Borough of Bexley, Traffic Services, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT or by email to traffic@bexley.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
f) Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that this Council would be legally obliged to make any comment received in response to this Notice, open to public inspection.
