What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM

(CH EXTENSION AREA 3A) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE OF INTENT

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate road lining works, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

  2. The order will come in to effect on Tuesday 27 May 2025 with work commencing on this date. The Order will remain in force up to a period of 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Saturday 21 June 2025.

  3. When the appropriate traffic management measures are being displayed, the Order will prohibit waiting at any time and loading at any time on the roads listed in Schedule 1.

  4. The waiting and loading prohibition will be applied in phases across the roads listed in Schedule 1. This is to allow full access for vehicular traffic along the roads at all times whilst road lining works are underway.

  • Valence Avenue from its junction with Kemp Road to the southern boundary of 337 Valence Avenue

  • Bennetts Castle Lane from the southern boundary of 11 Bennetts Castle Lane to its junction with Becontree Avenue

  • Haydon Road from its junction with Bennetts Castle Lane to its junction with Baron Road

  • Chitty’s Lane from its junction with Green Lane to its junction with Haydon Road

  • Manor Square

  • Baron Road from its junction with Haydon Road to its junction with Green Lane

  • Inskip Road

  • Lymington Road from its junction with Inskip Road to its junction with Green Lane
