U6719 BLACKTHORN WAY FALLOWFIELD ASHINGTON & U6701 WANSBECK ROAD, ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th May 2025 until the 27th November 2025.
U6719 Blackthorn Way, Fallowfield, Ashington from its junction with U6701 Wansbeck Road, Ashington heading south eastwards for a distance of 300 metres.
U6701 Wansbeck Road, Ashington from its junction with U6719 Blackthorn Way, Fallowfield, Ashington heading westwards for a distance of 190 metres.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 27th May 2025 until the 3rd June 2025 between the hours of 08:00 & 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 27th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the U6701, A1068, A196, U6705, U6719 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for resurfacing works.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
