ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14(1) (AS AMENDED)
The North York Moors National Park Authority made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the Parish of Danby in the Borough of Scarborough:
Public Footpath 43 Roxby: No pedestrian shall proceed along part of this footpath commencing at Grid Reference NZ 7460 1342 (Point A – Ridge Lane), heading east to Roxby Moor Farm, then onto a footbridge at Grid Reference NZ 7531 1349 (Point B – footbridge closed). The path then turns northwards towards the junction with Public Footpath 41 Roxby at Grid Reference NZ 7541 1376 (Point C – Birch Hall House). A total distance of 1,095 metres.
Alternative Route – Public Footpath 41 Roxby: Pedestrians can proceed along an alternative route, commencing at Grid Reference NZ 7457 1361 (Point D – Ridge Lane) and heading east to Grid Reference NZ 7541 1376 (Point C – Birch Hall House). A total distance of 970 metres.
The Order is necessary due unforeseen circumstances that could affect the works, in particular adverse weather and high water levels. The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs.
By approval of the Secretary of State for Transport on the 23 April 2025 to an extension (ref: TTRO/12700), the Order shall continue in force until 29 April 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
