Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury - Temporary Road Closures

SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury)
(Temporary Road Closures) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily
prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Wolverhampton Road (north &
southbound) from the junction of Birchley Island to the traffic signal junction
at Titford Road. Access to any affected frontages, including the Ibis Styles
Hotel, Ramada Hotel, ASDA and Aldi Store will be maintained, but only when
safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Birchfield Lane, Oldbury Road,
Station Road, Cakemore Road, Penncricket Lane, Causeway Green Road and vice versa.
Initial road closure – the maximum duration for the Wolverhampton Road
closure is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 11/05/2025 effective from 10/05/2025 (8pm – 6am each evening/morning).
Second road closure – the maximum duration for the Wolverhampton Road
closure is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 18/05/2025
effective from 17/05/2025 (8pm – 6am each evening/morning). Purpose –
to facilitate access for carriageway resurfacing works by National Highways.

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily
prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Brisbane Road, which will be closed
from its junction with Stony Lane to the dividing line of property number 1.
Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety
permits. Traffic will be diverted via Stony Lane, Auckland Road, Craddock Road and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 14/05/2025 effective from 12/05/2025 (24hrs).
Purpose – to facilitate access for remedial works by Onsite on behalf of South
