Droxford Road, East Meon - Temporary Road Closure due to Crane Work
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE –
DROXFORD ROAD, EAST MEON, EAST HAMPSHIRE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Droxford Road between its junction with South Downs Way and its junction with Hyden Farm Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Droxford Road, Hyden Farm Lane, Clanfield Road, High Street, Church Street, Church Lane, West Meon Road, East End, High Street, Alton Road, West Meon, Warnford Road, Hayden Lane, Old Winchester Hill Lane, Teglease Down Lane.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Wednesday 21st May 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than Thursday 22nd May 2025 and working between the hours 08:00–17:00).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Connect It Utility Services to allow crane work. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: nrswa@cius.co.uk
