What is happening?

(Ferring: Ferring Street) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Ferring Street in Ferring, from the entrance to Oaklands, northwards for 40M. The Order also temporarily suspends the one-way traffic restriction on Ferring Street to maintain access.
The road closure is needed to allow a new gas main to be connected.
The Order will come into effect on 27 May 2025 and remain in force until 2 June 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Sompting: Loose Lane and Sylvan Road) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Loose Lane in Sompting from its southern junction with Peveril Close, southwards for 120M, and Sylvan Road, from its junction with Loose Lane, eastwards to its junction with Avon Close.
The closure of these roads is needed to allow a new sewer connection to be installed in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 27 May 2025 and remain in force until 29 August 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time (introduce double yellow lines) on roads in Southwick as follows: The Green: at both of its junctions with Cross Road, and on the southern side of the crossroads formed with Church Lane; Cross Road: at both its junctions with The Green, its junction with Sandown Road and its junction with Underdown Road; Park Lane: at its junction with Water Dyke Avenue.

(Lancing: Brown Meadow Way and Various Roads Amendment) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make two permanent Traffic regulation Orders under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the first Order will be to prohibit any vehicle other than a bus operating a local service or a pedal cycle from driving on Brown Meadow Way/Hayley Road in Lancing from its junction with Shadwells Road eastwards for 20M.
The second Order will prohibit waiting at any time (introduce double yellow lines) on both sides of Brown Meadow Way/Hayley Road at its junction with Shadwells Road, and on various lengths of road at the junction formed by Brown Meadow Way, Brimstone Road and Goshawk Road.

(Various Roads: 20 MPH and 40 MPH Speed Limits) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce 20 MPH speed limits on the following roads in the parishes of Warningcamp, Lyminster & Crossbush and Poling:
Burpham Road – from 170M south of Warningcamp Lane to 500M northwards for 670M. Blakehurst Lane, Clay Lane, Crossbush Lane, Wharf Lane throughout their entire lengths.
The Order also introduces 40 MPH speed limits on Burpham Road from its junction with the A27 to 170M south of Warningcamp Lane, and from 500M north of Warningcamp Lane to 160M south of its junction with The Splash.
