What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
BOLAM LANE, BEMPTON
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along Bolam Lane, Bempton
approx 150m South of the rail bridge to “Bempton Mill”
commencing 14 May 2025

08.00 hours.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
renewal of lead supply works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed by
16 May 2025

20.00 hours
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is
via Bolam Lane, High Street, Main Street, Buckton Gate,
Bempton Lane and vice versa.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain
open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access
to properties directly affected by the closure and for
emergency services.
The Order will commence 14 May 2025, and continue
in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or
until the works which it is proposed to carry out have
been completed, whichever is the earlier.
