Roads Surrounding St Annes Triathlon - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ST ANNES TRIATHLON 2025, LYTHAM ST ANNES, FYLDE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle (except for event participants) from proceeding over that length
i. Todmorden Road from its junction with North Promenade to its junction with Clifton Drive North
ii. North Promenade for its full length
iii. South Promenade for its full length
iv. Inner Promenade from its junction with South Promenade to its junction with St Pauls Avenue.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closures will be signed locally.
Access will be maintained via marshal points for residents and businesses.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the holding of the St Annes Triathlon 2025
The p prohibition will be operative from 0730 hours until 1300 hours on Sunday 18th May 2025. (Or, at such time as, the last competitor has passed a point specified in the first column of the schedule to this notice.)
