Definitive Map Modification Order (No 12) 2024

The above Order, made on 18th September 2024, was confirmed on 30th April 2025, and will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:-
Former Alnwick District
Byway Open to All Traffic No 27 (Parish of Brinkburn)
Adding thereto a byway open to all traffic, from the U4039 road, 560 metres south-east of Brinkheugh (O.S. Grid Ref NZ 1263 9823), in a general northerly direction along a spur of the U4039 road for a distance of 740 metres to join the B6344 road, 290 metres south-west of Todstead Farm (NZ 1248 9888).
Footpath No 12 (Parish of Brinkburn)
The Definitive Statement for this existing public right of way will be amended to reflect the addition of the ‘new’ Byway Open to All Traffic No 27.
These details are shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at the Council Offices of the Lindisfarne Centre, Lindisfarne Road, Alnwick, NE66 2EF and the offices of Legal Services, County Hall, Morpeth during normal working hours. The Order became operative on 30th April 2025 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provisions contained in it, on the ground that any requirements of the Act or any regulation has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, within six weeks from 8th May 2025 make an application to the High Court for that purpose.
