What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
MAIN STREET, FRAISTHORPE

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed along Main Street,
Fraisthorpe from Rose Cottage to the junction of
Sands Lane commencing 12 May 2025.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
investigation and survey works at Fraisthorpe
Bridge, to be carried out and completed in a manner
consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed by
15 May 2025. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the Order is via Sands Road, Bridlington
Road, Main Street and vice versa.
The road will be closed to all traffic with no access.
The Order will commence 12 May 2025 and continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or
until the works which it is proposed to carry out have
been completed, whichever is the earlier. Further
