What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.64 (PART)
BELPER

WHEN: 9 May to 30 May 2025.
WHERE: Close footpath No.64 from the A517 to footpath No.67.
REASON: To facilitate public safety whilst repairs are carried out to the stone bridge over Black Brook.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From the northern closure point travel southeast and join footpath No.162. Follow footpath No.162 around the sports facility and along the River Derwent. Cross the River Derwent via the bridge next to Meadow Cottage, which will be opened whilst this closure is active. Vice versa from the south.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council Has made an order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
