(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U112 Mill Strand from its junction with Dock Road heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 81 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th May 2025 until the 6th June 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th May 2025 until the 21st May 2025 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 6th June 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C426, U112, C424 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by PMK Civil Engineering on behalf of Scottish Power to dig a joint box to create a connection.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
