What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Frog Street, Kelvedon Hatch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Frog Street, Kelvedon Hatch in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 430m east then north east of its junction with Ongar Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th June 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410265301 – Affinity Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ferrule renewal works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Frog Street, Warren Lane, Stocks Lane, Blackmore Road, Ongar Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 14th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mores Lane, South Weald) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mores Lane, South Weald in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 100m north east of its junction with Snakes Hill for a distance of approximately 35m in a north easterly then easterly direction and from a point approximately 115m north east of its junction with Snakes Hill for a distance of approximately 10m in a south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd June 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M139085 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fire hydrant cover rest works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Mores Lane, Ongar Road and vice versa (with access only into Mores Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 14th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ongar Road, Stondon Massey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ongar Road, Stondon Massey in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 85m in a south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th June 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410257738 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sluice valve works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Chivers Road, School Road, Ongar Road, Brentwood Road and vice versa (with access only into Stondon Road, Ongar Road).

The Order will come into effect on 14th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Borough of Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.13) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close the said lengths of road in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 30th April 2025 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

Byron Road/Shelley Road, Hutton From the junction with Hall Green Lane to the junction with Kingsley Road a distance of approximately 455m. Kingsley Road, Hall Green Lane, Tennyson Road and vice versa.

Newlands Close, Hutton From its junction with Bryron Road to its end a distance of approximately 90m. Kingsley Road, Hall Green Lane, Tennyson Road and vice versa.

Navestock Side, Navestock From its junction with Princes Road to its junction with Dudbrook Road a distance of approximately 1105m. Crown Road, Ongar Road, Mores Lane, Coxtie Green Road, Wheelers Lane, Princes Road, Snakes Hill, Dudbrook Road and vice versa.

Seven Arches Road, Warley From its junction with Ingrave Road to its junction with The Avenue a distance of approximately 1990m. Eagle Way, The Drive, Warley Hill, Kings Road, Queens Road, Ingrave Road, Seven Arches Road, Woodman Road, South Drive, St Johns Avenue, Mount Crescent and vice versa.

Howard Lodge Road, Navestock From its junction with Beacon Hill Road to its junction with Dudbrook Road a distance of approximately 415m. Dudbrook Road, Beacon Hill Road and vice versa.
