What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Road from Ivelet to Gunnerside, Gunnerside, Order 2025, No. 145
We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using an approximate 100 metres length of the road from its junction with the B6270 in Gunnerside in a westerly direction for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 06/05/25 & 30/05/25, due to drainage works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 31/03/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. 30 Mph Speed Limit, Moor Road, Leyburn, Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that on 25/04/25 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on any length of road specified below. Moor Road, Leyburn, from its junction with the A6108 High Street north westwards to a point 128 metres west of its junction with the westernmost side of its junction with Shawl Quarry Lane (measured along the southern kerbline). A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 05/05/25 may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Leyburn Library, Thornborough Hall, Leyburn, DL8 5AB during normal office hours from 02/05/25 until 06/06/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 25/04/25 make application to the High Court for that purpose.
30 Mph Speed Limit, A61 Carlton Road, Carlton Miniott, Station Road, Thirsk & Sandhutton Lane, Carlton Miniott, Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on any length of road specified below: - A61 Carlton Road, Carlton Miniott and Station Road, Thirsk, from a point 40 metres east of its junction with Coney Garth Lane, Carlton Miniott easterly to its junction with the B1448 Topcliffe Road and Westgate Thirsk. Unclassified Road, Sandhutton Lane, Carlton Miniott, from its junction with the centre line of the A61, Carlton Miniott northwards for a distance of 80 metres. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Thirsk Community Library, Meadowfields, Chapel Street, Thirsk, YO7 1TH during normal office hours from 02/05/25 until 23/05/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders.
