What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - BOUNDARY ROAD & PORTLAND ROAD, HOVE

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 23 April 2025 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-

(a) The temporary prohibition of southbound traffic from its junction with Portland Road to its junction at Vale Road.

(b) The temporary prohibition of the left and right turn movement from Portland Road onto Boundary Road.

2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors working on behalf of UKPN install high voltage electricity cables.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

3. This Order comes into force on 3 May 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
