What is happening?

DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

LOW DINSDALE FOOTPATHS 3 AND 4, MIDDLETON ST GEORGE

Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

LOW DINSDALLE FOOTPATH 3

From its start between 10 and 11 Palm Tree Villas, south westwards for approximately 335 metres to the field boundary at the water park

LOW DINSDALLE FOOTPATH 4

From its start between 10 and 11 Palm Tree Villas, south westwards for approximately 205 metres to the field boundary at the water park

An alternative route will be signed along the eastern and southern boundary of the development site.

The Order is necessary to for pedestrian safety while building works take place adjacent to the footpaths.

The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 6 months commencing from 19th May 2025.
