MANUEL STREET, GOOLE
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/proceeding on foot/whether on foot, pedal cycle or on horseback along the entire length of Gordon Street, Goole commencing 9 June 2025 until 1 August 2025 between the hours of 08.00 until 16.30 Monday to Friday.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed Manuel Street, Goole gas mains replacement works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed within 57 days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via: Boothferry Road, Newport Street, Marcus Street, Goole CP, Goole South Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and pedestrians and resident parking will be outside of working hours only.
The Order will commence on 9 June 2025, and continue in force for a period not exceeding
18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
