What is happening?

(A1060 Bishop Stortford Road, Roxwell) (Special Event) (Essex Young Farmers Show) (Temporary 30 Speed Limit) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Orders under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
Effect of the order:
To temporarily introduce a 30mph Speed Limit on the A1060 Bishop Stortford Road, Roxwell, in the City of Chelmsford.
From a point approximately 160 metres west of Vicarage Road westwards for approximately 900 metres. (The road is currently national speed limit)
The temporary speed restriction is scheduled to be in place on 18 May 2025 for 1 day, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 or where appropriate signs are showing, and weather permitting and is required for the safety of the public while the Essex Young Farmers Show takes place. Traffic signals will also be on site to help with egress and ingress of the site.
The Order will come into effect on 18 May 2025 may continue in force for 18 months unless extended by the Secretary of State.
(A414 Three Mile Hill and A414 London Road) (AA National Flower Show Event) (Special Events) (Temporary 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
Effect of the order: To introduce: a ‘Temporary 30mph Speed Limit’ Restriction on the following length of road in the Parishes of Margaretting, and Writtle, in the City of Chelmsford (currently National Speed Limit):
Road Description
A414 Three Mile Hill/ A414 London Road. Northbound carriageway From the roundabout at the A12 junction northbound to the 40mph speed limit just before the Widford Roundabout.
The Temporary 30mph Speed Limit is scheduled to take place from 07:00 on the 16 May 2025 to 19:00 on the 18 May 2025, or where appropriate signs are showing, and weather permitting and is required for the safety of visitors and other road users whilst the AA National Flower Show Event at Hylands Park Estate takes place.
Speed Enforcement cameras may be operating within the restricted lengths of road as specified.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 16 May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months unless extended by the Secretary of State.
(Beehive Lane, Great Baddow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beehive Lane, Great Baddow in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 120m south west of its junction with Honey Close for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st June 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30049497862 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while underground service works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Beehive Lane, Baddow Road, Army And Navy Roundabout, Van Diemans Road, Princes Road, Miami Roundabout, Wood Street, Galleywood Road, Beehive Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Bennetts Lane, Great Waltham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close the length of Bennetts Lane, Great Waltham in the City of Chelmsford from a point approximately 270m north west of its junction with Mill Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th June 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG4NL17K – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Bennetts Lane, Mill Road, Brook Hill, Black Chapel Lane, Dunmow Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Priory Road, Bicknacre) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Priory Road, Bicknacre in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Barbrook Way to its junction with Moor Hall Lane a distance of approximately 290m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th June 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2382445 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Priory Road, Bicknacre Road, The Tye, Main Road, Rettendon Road, East Hanningfield Road, Main Road, Rettendon Turnpike, Burnham Road, Main Road, Priory Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Roman Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close the length of Roman Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Hall Street to its junction with Grove Road a distance of approximately 155m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd June 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2382062 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while kerb repair and patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Hall Street, Mildmay Road, Grove Road.
The Order will come into effect on 15th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Vicarage Lane, Galleywood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Vicarage Lane, Galleywood in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Brook Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th June 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30042261434 UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Vicarage Lane, Church Street, West Hanningfield Road, Brook Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Wyses Road, Highwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close the length of Wyses Road, Highwood in the City of Chelmsford, from a point of approximately 350m north west of its junction with Highwood Road for a distance of approximately 150m in a north westerly direction.The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd June 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WFTGMR9Z – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct and spine cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Wyses Road, Highwood Road, The Causeway, Highwood Road Roundabout, Ongar Road West, Ongar Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
