TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025 (NORWICH) Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984
Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Roac Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
1) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

CHAPEL FIELD ROAD SUBWAY (Footpath) - from its eastern entrance in Chapel Field Gardens to its western entrance adjacent to Chapel Field Road to faciltate subway cleaning and maintenance works from 12th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Chapel Field Garden Footpath, Chapel Field Road Pedestrian Crossing at Vauxhall Street, Chapel Field Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council. NEWMARKET ROAD - from 5m west of its junction with Lime Tree Road for 105m westwards to facilitate Anglian Water cover replacement works. The road will be subject to the temporary suspension of the bus lane from 13th to 15th May 2025 (may continue until 26th June 2025). The works promoter is Anglian Water. RUTLAND STREET - from 1m south of its junction with York Street for 30m southwards to facilitate new connection works from 12th to 16th May 2025 (may continue until 27th June 2025). Alternative route is via: Northbound: Rutland Street, Gloucester Street, Unthank Road, York Street and southbound: York Street, Unthank Road, Gloucester Street, Rutland Street. The works promoter is Cadent Gas.

UNTHANK ROAD, DOVER STREET, ONLEY STREET - 1) Unthank Road from 20m west of ts junction with Gloucester Road for 50m westwards and 2) Onley Street from 1m south of its junction with Unthank Road for 5m southwards and 3) Dover Street from 1m north of its junction with Unthank Road for 5m northwards to faciltate manhole cover repairs between 19:00 on 12th May and 06:00 on 13th May 2025 (may continue until the 24th June 2025). Aternatve route is via: 1) Eastbound Diversion - Colman Road, Earlhan Road, Unthank Road. Westbound Diversion - Unthank Road, Earlhan Road, Colman Road. 2) Dover Street, Portersfield Road, Portland Street, Portland Street, Portersfield Road, Dover Street. 3) Onley Street, Leicester Street, Gloucester Street. Gloucester Street, Leicester Street, Onley Street. The works promoter is Anglian Water. ii) THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
from 20m west of ts junction with Gloucester Road for 50m westwards and
from 1m south of its junction with Unthank Road for 5m southwards and
from 1m north of its junction with Unthank Road for 5m northwards to faciltate manhole cover repairs between 19:00 on 12th May and 06:00 on 13th May 2025 (may continue until the 24th June 2025). Aternatve route is via:
Eastbound Diversion - Colman Road, Earlhan Road, Unthank Road. Westbound Diversion - Unthank Road, Earlhan Road, Colman Road.
Dover Street, Portersfield Road, Portland Street, Portland Street, Portersfield Road, Dover Street.
Onley Street, Leicester Street, Gloucester Street. Gloucester Street, Leicester Street, Onley Street. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

HARVEY LANE - from its junction with A1242 Yarmouth Road to its junction with Stanley Avenue to facilitate new road lining works between 19:00 and 5:00 from 5th to 7th May 2025 (may continue until 18th June 2025). Alternative route s via: Southbound route - Harvey Lane, Heartsease Lane, Plumstead Road, Ketts Hill, Bishop Bridge Road, Rverside Road, Rosary Road and Thorpe Road. Northbound route - Thorpe Road, Carrow Road, Clarence Road, Thorpe Road, Rosary Road, Riverside Road, Bishop Bridge Road, Ketts Hill, Plumstead Road and Harvey Lane. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council. N.B: Please note only one of the above dates will be required. FOUNTAINS ROAD & LOCKSLEY ROAD - 1) Fountains Road from its junction with Hall Road to its junction with Watkin Road and 2) Locksley Road from its junction with Hall Road for 12m north westwards to faciltate footway resurfacing works on road 1) from 5th May to 8th August 2025 and road 2) from 27th May to 27th June 2025 (may continue until 4th November 2026). Alternative route is via: 1) Watkin Road, Robin Hood Road, Hall Road and vice versa

2) Ipswich Road, Maid Marion Road, Robin Hood Road, Hall Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council. N.B When the restriction for Locksley Road is in place, the diversion route for Fountains Road will be temporarily amended. The closure of Locksley Road is expected to take place for 2 weeks within the anticipated dates period
Ipswich Road, Maid Marion Road, Robin Hood Road, Hall Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order s for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).
Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required.
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
