TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER - THE GATWICK AIRPORT LIMITED
TRAFFIC ORDER NORTHGATE AMMENDMENTS 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Gatwick Airport Limited (hereafter
referred to as “the Airport Operator”), propose to make the above Order
Amendments in exercise of powers under Sections 1(1&3), 2 (1,4&5),
3(2), 4(1-2), 5(1), 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 61, 63, 64(1-4),
65(1), 66(1), 67(1-3), 68(2), 69(1-3), 74, 95(1, 3-7), 96, 99, 100, 101,
102, and 104 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Local
Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedures) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996.
2. The effect of this Order is to:
(1) Apply Waiting, Loading, Parking and Clearway restrictions in the
form of Red Route Controls, where the stopping of vehicles is
prohibited at any time in along the full extent of Northgate.
(2) Instate a 20mph zone alone the extent of Northgate; revoking the
existing 30mph speed limit.
(3) Implement zebra pedestrian crossing on Northgate adjacent to the
proposed car park with associated road markings and controls.
3. These proposals are required in order to maintain the safety of road
users, to preserve the amenities of the area and enable effective
enforcement of the public road network at Gatwick Airport.
4. Deposited documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may
be inspected at Reception, Destinations Place, South Terminal,
Gatwick Airport, West Sussex, RH6 0NP.

South Terminal, Gatwick Airport, West Sussex, RH6 0NP or via e-mail
request at community@gatwickairport.com.
5.Any person(s) wishing to object or make other representations relating to
this Order must do so within 21 days from the date on which this notice of
proposals is published. In the event of such an objection, it should be
made in writing, it should state the grounds on which it is made, and it
should be sent to the Traffic Regulation Orders address given above.
