Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic A) Bewley Lane (Part), Lacock, from its property known as No.13 Bewley Lane for a distance of approximately 130m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement with excavation and associated works. Alternative route via Bewley Lane (unaffected length) – UC 916904 – UC 916200 – C150 – C155 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. B) Church Lane (Part), North Bradley, from its junction with A363 to its junction with Grants Ley to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out gulley and associated works. Alternative route via Church Lane (unaffected length) – C277 – Church Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. C) B3107 (Part), Bradford on Avon, from its junction with B3105 to its junction with Brooklands and associated works. Alternative route via B3107 (unaffected length) – B3105 – B3109 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 2 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: D) A361 (Part), Semington, Great Hinton and Keevil, from its junction with Littleton to its junction with Cambridge to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out surfacing/kerbing/road marking and associated works. Alternative route via A361 (unaffected length) – A350 – A365 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 3 nights. It is anticipated that works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that each closure will be required for the actual time and date specified above only.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users Footpath 16 (Part), Winsley, from its junction with Footpath 10, Winsley for a distance of approximately 380m in a westerly direction to enable repair work to Winsley Bridge to be carried out by Wiltshire Council. Alternative route via Footpath 10 – Footpath 15 – Footpath 16 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs on site. This Order will come into operation on 06 May 2024 and the closure will be required until 05 November 2025 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access will be maintained for residents where possible.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (FROGMORE ROAD, HAWKERIDGE ROAD AND SLAG LANE, WESTBURY) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
(Previously advertised as 2024)
Notice is hereby given that on 23 April 2025 Wiltshire Council made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Frogmore Road, Westbury – from its junction with Rosefield Way to its junction with Slag Lane; Hawkeridge Road and Slag Lane, Westbury – the complete lengths. A copy of the Order can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 5 May 2025.
