What is happening?
NOTICE OF
AMENDING ORDER
CRAWLEY BOROUGH COUNCIL (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AND CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO. 2)
ORDER 2022
NOTICE is hereby given that Crawley Borough Council (“the Council”) has made the above Order
under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to
amend the Crawley Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and
Consolidation) Order 2022. The Order will come into effect on 1 st October 2025
Effect of Order:
1. The inclusion of a contravention where a vehicle is parked in a designated Electric vehicle (EV) bay and is not actively charging in all off-street car parks to which to order applies.
2. The inclusion of a contravention where a vehicle is parking in a bay reserved for employees where a valid permit is not displayed and/or where digital validation to consent the vehicle to be parked in that bay has not been given.
3. The inclusion of Goffs Park Lower Car Park to be listed in Schedule One of the Crawley Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) (Amendment 2) Order 2022.
4. The inclusion of The Hawth Car Park to be listed in Schedule One of the Crawley Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) (Amendment 2) Order 2022.
5. The inclusion of K2 Crawley Car Park to be listed in Schedule One of the Crawley Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) (Amendment 2) Order 2022.
6. That the tariffs for these sites are as follows:
Goffs Park Lower Car Park
All days
07:00 – 22:00
0-4 hours - £3.00
4-12 hours - £9.00
The Hawth Car Park
All Days
07:00 – 22:00
0-4 hours £1.50
K2 Crawley Car Park
All Days
07:00 – 22:00
0-4 hours £1.50
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
