Holme Road, Shiptonthorpe - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC HOLME ROAD,
SHIPTONTHORPE AND SHIPTON LANE,
HOLME UPON SPALDING MOOR
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
the entire length of Holme Road, Shiptonthorpe and
Shipton Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor commencing
26 May 2025 until 29 May 2025 between 20.00
hours until 06.00 hours (three x overnight closures)
for the purposes of VRS installation around the new
weather station (National Highways).
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
within three days. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the road closure will be via A1079 York
Road, A1079 Giant Bradley Way and Holme Road.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians. Further information can
