Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tapners Road (C57) Leigh which extends from its junction with The Glebe (D598) to the northwestern property boundary line of “No. 1, Dawes Green Cottages”.

Alternative Route – Tapners Road (C57), Bunce Common Road (C58), Shellwood Road (C54), Broad Lane (C59), Partridge Lane (C60), Blanks Lane (C61), Stan Hill (C61), Norwood Hill (D330), Smalls Hill Road (C57) and Tapners Road (C57) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 6 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
