LUTON ROAD AREA, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable highway improvement works to be carried out
Luton Road area, Chatham – the following roads to be closed to all vehicular traffic (a) Luton Road between (but not including) the junctions with Castle Road and A2 Chatham Hill, (b) Bank Street for the entire length, (c) Short Street for the entire length, and (d) Hare Street for the entire length. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Pear Tree Lane, Hempstead Road, Hoath Way and Watling Street.
This order will come into force on Monday, 2 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 2 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within by 18 April, 2026.
Luton Road will be closed in four stages, expected to be 23 July-30 August; 18-25 October; 14-21 February and 7-18 April, 2026. Bank Street, Hare Street and Short Street will also be closed in four stages, expected to be 2 June-30 August; 18-25 October; 14-21 February and 7-18 April, 2026. Exact timings will depend on the progress of the works.
The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed. VALLEY VIEW ROAD, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -
Valley View Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Maidstone Road for a distance of 50 metres in a westerly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Maidstone Road, Priestfields, Cookham Hill and Mount Road.
This order will come into force on Wednesday, 11 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 11 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within three days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

PERRY HILL, CLIFFE (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new fibre optic cable to be installed -
Perry Hill, Cliffe - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Merryboys Road and the frontage of 4 Perry Hill. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Cooling Street, Cooling Common and Merryboys Road.
This order will come into force on Monday, 12 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within two days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

NORTH DANE WAY AREA, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which has been to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate highway works in connection with a new housing development
North Dane Way and Scarlett Close, Chatham - to be closed to all traffic (a) in North Dane Way, from the junction with Lords Wood Lane for a distance of 500 metres in a northerly direction, (b) in the urban footway between North Dane Way and Scarlett Close; and (c) in the three way junction of Scarlett Close opposite 4 and 5 Scarlett Close. An alternative route will be available via Princes Avenue, Prince Charles Avenue and Lords Wood Lane.
This order came into force on Friday, 2 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works commenced by Notice on Monday, 28 April and are programmed for completion by 5 July, 2025. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

LESTER ROAD, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas supply works to be carried out
Lester Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between across the frontage of 14 Lester Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Salisbury Road and Magpie Hall Road.
This order will come into force on Friday, 23 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 23 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within 11 days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas supply works to be carried out
High Street, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 143 High Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed.
This order will come into force on Thursday, 29 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 29 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within three days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new fibre optic cable to be installed
Cooling Common, Cliffe - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Merryboys Road and across the frontage of Merryboys Lodge. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Town Road and Station Road.
This order will come into force on Wednesday, 14 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 14 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within three days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas supply works to be carried out -
Cavendish Avenue, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 8 Cavendish Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Portland Road or Granville Road.
This order came into force on Tuesday, 6 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works were due to commence on or after Tuesday, 6 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within eight days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
