(Colchester Road, Thorpe-le-Soken) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colchester Road, Thorpe-le-Soken in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 200m south west of its junction with Tendring Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th May 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30020633640 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Colchester Road, Thorpe Road, Colchester Road, Weeley Bypass Roundabout, Weeley Bypass, Clacton Road, Weeley Road, Harwich Road, Station Road, Abbey Street, High Street, Colchester Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
