(Boarded Barn Road, Copford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boarded Barn Road, Copford in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Birch Road to its junction with Rectory Road a distance of approximately 915m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th May 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2374267 — Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Birch Road, Copford Green, Rectory Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 8th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Chalfont Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chalfont Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with St Joseph Road to its junction with Wilmington Road a distance of approximately 70m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th May 2025 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2380159 — Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via St Joseph Road, St Cyrus Road, Wilmington Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 8th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Fiddlers Hill, Fordham Heath) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fiddlers Hill, Fordham Heath in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with John Flower Avenue for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03164602637/FH – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fire hydrant repairs works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Fiddlers Hill, Mill Road, Church Road, Moat Road, Plummers Road, Fordham Road, Main Road, Colchester Road, Bures Road, Chitts Hill, Halstead Road, Wood Lane, Porters Cottage, Fiddlers Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 8th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Grove Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the length of Grove Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from a point of approximately 175m south east and then north east of its junction with Barbrook Lane for a distance of approximately 160m in an south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03165818159/FH – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fire hydrant repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Grove Road, Newbridge Road, Chapel Road, Church Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 8th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Old House Road, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the length of Old House Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from a point of approximately 410m south west of its junction with The Causeway for a distance of approximately 35m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03165749169 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via The Causeway, Nayland Road, Coach Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 8th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rectory Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Church Road to its junction with Anchor Road a distance of approximately 340m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2374485 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, Maldon Road, Anchor Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 8th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Upland Road, West Mersea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the length of Upland Road, West Mersea in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Upland Crescent for a distance of approximately 25m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th May 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (YN10074737-ERI-STM-AC – MBNL). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while antenna repair works are undertaken by MBNL.

An alternative route is available via Upland Road, Kingsland Road, Barfield Road, High Street North and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 8th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Clears Road, Layer Marney) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Clears Road, Layer Marney in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Winters Hill to its junction with Haynes Green Road a distance of approximately 800m.

The Order came into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Culver Street East, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the length of Culver Street East, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point of approximately 35m south west of its junction with Queen Street to its junction with St Nicholas Street a distance of approximately 115m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th May 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30069388204 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new cable connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Queen Street, St Botolphs Street, St Botolphs Circus, Southway Westbound, Southway Eastbound, Headgate, Head Street, High Street, St Nicholas Street.

The Order will come into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ellis Road, Boxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ellis Road, Boxted in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Mill Road to its junction with Queens Head Road a distance of approximately 530m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2375032 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Elmstead Road, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Elmstead Road, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Brightlingsea Road for a distance of approximately 125m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110151132 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while valve repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Brightlingsea Road, Colchester Road, Elmstead Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hawthorn Avenue, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hawthorn Avenue, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Bromley Road to its junction with Hickory Avenue a distance of approximately 450m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th May 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2380552 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Bromley Road, Longridge, Avon Way, Hamlet Drive, Magnolia Drive, Hawthorn Avenue and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Nunns Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nunns Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Short Cut Road to its junction with North Hill a distance of approximately 70m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th May 2025 for 40 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231012681 – GTM). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while building repair works are undertaken by GTM.

Alternative routes are available via:

  1. North Hill, Middleborough, Middleborough Roundabout, Middleborough, St Peter’s Street, Short Cut Road.

  2. Short Cut Road, St Peter’s Street, Middleborough, Middleborough Roundabout, Balkerne Hill Southbound, Maldon Road Roundabout, Southway Eastbound, Headgate, Head Street, North Hill.

    The Order came into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Sandmartin Crescent, Stanway) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Suspension of One Way Restriction) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of Sandmartin Crescent, Stanway in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 105m north east then north west of its junction with Cygnet Walk for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction.

  2. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in Sandmartin Crescent, Stanway, from a point 110 metres south of its junction with Churchfields Avenue proceeding in a clockwise direction for a distance of 173 metres as detailed in ‘The Essex County Council (Sandmartin Crescent, Stanway, Colchester) (One Way) Order 2010’ for the duration of the closure.

The closure/suspension are scheduled to commence on 14th May 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD037SM65689943 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension are required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Sandmartin Crescent and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
