What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its  powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

B2169 Bayham Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow manhole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2169 Bayham Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 13th May 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hillside. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2169 Bayham Road, A267 Frant Road, Forest Road, B2169 Bayham Road and vice versa.

 

Ballards Hill & Goudhurst Road, Horsmonden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Ballards Hill & Goudhurst Road, Horsmonden, on or after 18th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Brick Kiln Lane to the junction of B2079 North Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ballards Hill, B2079 North Road, A262 The Plain, A262 West Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 Station Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Horsmonden Road, A21 Forstal Farm Roundabout, A262 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, The Heath, Goudhurst Road and vice versa.

 

Hill View Road, Rusthall TN4 8BQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow electric cable repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hill View Road, Rusthall, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 11. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hill View Road, Rusthall High Street, Meadow Road, Erskine Park Road and vice versa.

 

Scragged Oak Road, Detling ME14 3HN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new ducting to be installed, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Scragged Oak Road, Detling, on or after 26th May 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Meadows, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via White Hill Road, Cox Street, Scragged Oak Road and vice versa.

 

School House Lane, Horsmonden, TN12 8BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow meter cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School House Lane, Horsmonden, on or after 13th May 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Great Baynden. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Spout Lane, Brenchley TN12 7AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Spout Lane, Brenchley, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bakers Hill Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spout Lane, Tong Road, Fairmans Lane, Short Lane, Horsmonden Road, Spout Lane and vice versa.

 

Tibbs Court Lane, Matfield TN12 7NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow electric cable repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tibbs Court Lane, Matfield, on or after 30th May 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hopbine Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tibbs Court Lane, Cryals Road, Petteridge Lane and vice versa.

 

Whetsted Road, Whetsted, TN12 6SZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whetsted Road, Whetsted, on or after 13th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of B2017 Badsell Road to the junction of A228 Maidstone Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Whetsted Road, B2017 Badsell Road, A228 Maidstone Road, Whetsted Road and vice versa.

 

Well Street, East Malling ME19 6JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow trial holes to be excavated, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Well Street, East Malling, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside property number 163. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pikey Lane, Broadwater Road, Well Street and vice versa.
