Dartford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
HIGHWAYS
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DARTFORD AREA
B255 Bean Road, Greenhithe DA9 9HZ (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To safely undertake rock netting, Kent County Council intends to make an Order for a temporary mandatory speed limit of 30 mph to be imposed on part of B255 Bean Road, Greenhithe, on or after 26th May 2025, with estimated completion by 30th November 2025 or until the works have been completed.
The 30mph speed limit applies in both directions on B255 Bean Road, Greenhithe from the A2 slips and the St Clements Way roundabout as and when indicated by signage on site.
Brent Lane, Dartford, DA1 1YS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the installation of a telecoms pole, draw pits and associated underground ducting, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brent Lane, Dartford.
Closures are planned between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs from 12th May 2025, with estimated completion by 14th May 2025 and from 19th May 2025, with estimated completion by 22nd May 2025.
The road will be closed at the junction with A296 Park Road.
The alternative route is via Park Road, Downs Avenue, Brent Lane and vice versa.
Castle Road, Swanscombe, DA10 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage improvement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Castle Road, Swanscombe, on or after 12th May 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Church Road.
The alternative route is via Church Road, Ames Road, Eglinton Road, Castle Road and vice versa.
Gills Road, Darenth, DA2 8DZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To recover two telegraph poles, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gills Road, Darenth, on or after 15th May 2025 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Walnut Tree Farm.
The alternative route is via Gills Road, St Margarets Road, B260 Green Street Green Road and vice versa.
Hook Green Lane, Wilmington. DA2 7HF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hook Green Lane, Wilmington, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Turnagain Croft.
The alternative route is via Hook Green Lane, Broad Lane, Common Lane, Oakfield Lane, Leyton Cross Road and vice versa.
