Church Road, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U80129, Church Road, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80129, Church Road, Hereford, at the junction with Ledbury Rd A438. Grid Ref: 352638/240261.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Winchester Avenue U80133 onto Salisbury Avenue U80132 onto Ledbury Rd A438 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to traffic management in conjunction with gas mains replacement on Ledbury Rd works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 27th of May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 7 days.
