NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH AW191B (part), SMARDEN) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above-named Order made on 09 April 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered AW191B, which commences at NGR TQ8958 4204 (point A) and heads in a westerly direction for 170 metres to NGR TQ8941 4206 (point B) where it then heads in a northerly direction for 27 metres to its termination point on Romden Road at NGR TQ8941 4208 (point C). As shown between points A-B-C on the Order plan and will add a new length of public footpath numbered AW191B, with a width of 2.0 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point A and then heads in a north west direction for 72 metres to NGR TQ8952 4208 (point D), and then heads in a north north-westerly direction for 30 metres to its termination point on Romden Road at NGR TQ8951 4211 (Point E). As shown between points A-D-E on the Order plan.

Any representation about or objection to the Order must be sent or delivered in writing to Emma Peters at the Kent County Council (address as below; email as above) no later than 6 June 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Kent County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath CC11 between Footpath CC12 and St Stephen’s Court from the 28 May 2025
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen June 2025
The path is closed because of works on or near the path. The alternative route is via Public Footpath CC11, St Stephen’s Green, St Stephen’s Road and St Stephen’s Court and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath CH23 in the Parish of Herne & Broomfield

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath CH23 to the East of the Thanet Way for a distance of approximately 200 metres from the 12 May 2025.
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months.
The path is to be closed because of the construction of a new path at the crossing of the Spine Road.
The alternative route is via a diversion on site which will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS KM20 (part) and KM21 (part), WEST FARLEIGH)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
On 16 April 2025,the Kent County Councilconfirmed the above Order under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of that Order as confirmed is to divert:
1) the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered KM20, which commences on an unaffected length of public footpath KM20 at NGR TQ 7159 5330 (point A), and runs west for 221 metres to its connection with public footpath KM21 at NGR TQ 7137 5332 (point B), as shown by a bold continuous line between the points A-B on the Order plan;
AND
2) the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered KM21, which commences at the aforementioned point B and runs west south-west for 147 metres to its connection with an unaffected length of public footpath KM21 at NGR TQ 7123 5328 (point C), as shown by a bold continuous line between the points B-C on the Order plan.
The effect of that Order as confirmed is also to provide:
1) a new length of public footpath numbered KM20, with a width of 2.0 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point A and runs west for approximately 223 metres to its connection with the aforementioned point B, as shown by a bold broken line between the points A-B on the Order plan;
AND
2) a new length of public footpath numbered KM21, with a width of 2.0 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point B and runs south-west for 135 metres to NGR TQ 7127 5324 (point D), and then north-west for 58 metres the aforementioned point C, as shown by a bold broken line between the points B-C on the Order plan.

The Order comes into force on 14 May 2025, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within 6 weeks from 9 May 2025, make an application to the High Court.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
On 30 April 2025,the Kent County Councilconfirmed the above Order under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of that Order as confirmed is to divert the entire width of that length of Public Footpath numbered KH92, which commences at its junction with Church Road and Public Footpath KH93B at NGR TQ 8449 5830 (point A) and runs generally east north-east for approximately 83 metres to its connection with an unaffected length of public footpath KH92 at NGR TQ 8457 5831 (point B), as indicated on the Order plan between points A-B,and to provide a new length of Public Footpath numbered KH92, which commences at the aforementioned point B and runs generally north-west for approximately 57 metres to its connection with Public Footpath KH93B at NGR TQ 8453 5835 (point D), as indicated on the plan between the points B-C-D. The new route will have a width of 2.0 metres, the centre line of which is 3.2 metres north-east of the boundary fence where the path moves away from the kissing gate at NGR TQ 8456 5831 (point C).

Notice is hereby given that, on 27th March 2025, the Kent County Council (on behalf of the Sevenoaks District Council) certified that the terms of Article 2 of the above-named Order, requiring an alternative highway to be created to the reasonable satisfaction of the Kent County Council (on behalf of the Sevenoaks District Council), had been complied with.
Accordingly, the above-named Order has now taken effect.

MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above-namedOrder made on16 April 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered WT288, which commences on an unaffected length of public footpath WT288 at NGR TQ 6651 4161 (point A) and runs south-west then south south-west for 187 metres to its connection with another unaffected length of public footpath WT288 at NGR TQ 6639 4146 (point B), as shown between the points A-B on the Order planand it will add a new length of public footpath numbered WT288, with a width of 3.0 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point A and runs south for 11 metres to NGR TQ 6651 4160 (point C), then west for 63 metres to NGR TQ 6645 4159, then west south-west for 42 metres to NGR TQ 6641 4158, then south-west for 47 metres to NGR TQ 6637 4155 (point D), and then south south-east for 87 metres to the aforementioned point B, as shown between the points A-C-D-B on the Order plan.
