What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(TRAFFIC REGULATION: RESTRICTIONS ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING PLACES) (VARIATION NO. _) ORDER 202_ -  TRO/23/ 33

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended to:

  1. Introduce 24hr waiting restrictions on: Royal Edinburgh Hospital access road, Myreside Rd; Oxgangs Hill; Swan Spring Ave; Fox Spring Cres; Buckstone Ln; Buckstone Rd; March Gro; March Rd; Summerside Pl; Summerside St; Britwell Cres; Craigentinny Rd; Prospect Bank Ter; Prospect Bank Pl; Milton Rd East; Gilberstoun; Ashlar Rd, Pennywell Gro; East Pilton Farm Rigg; West Craigs Cres; Turnhouse Rd; Harewood Dr; Niddrie Mains Rd; Candlemaker’s Pk; Drum St; Riselaw Cres; Pentland Ter (Comiston Rd); & Craigmount Ave Nth.
  2. Amend 24hr waiting restrictions and loading prohibitions at Liberton Dr & Liberton Brae.
  3. Amend 24hr waiting restrictions on The Loan (Sth Queensferry), Morison Gdns; Priestfield Rd; Dell Rd.
  4. Introduce daytime waiting restrictions that operate 8.30am5.30pm Mon-Fri on Newhaven Rd.
  5. Amend/introduce 24hr waiting restrictions on: Baird Dr; Balgreen Rd; Newhaven Pl; & Lindsay Rd.
  6. Replace daytime waiting restrictions with 24hr waiting restrictions on: Dreghorn Loan.

Details of the draft Order and related documents, including our privacy notice, can be viewed online at streets.appyway.com/edinburgh-city, from 02/05/2025 to 23/05/2025 by following the link to “Proposals in consultation” under reference TRO/23/33 or at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk. Documents can also be viewed at Waverley Court Reception, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG between 9:30am & 3:30pm Mon-Fri during the same period. Objectors must complete the form found via the “Proposals in consultation” link referred to above, or state their reasons in writing quoting reference TRO/23/33 to Traffic Orders at the above address, not later than 23/05/2025. Objections should state the name and address of the objector. If you are responding to this consultation and your comments or objection relate to any specific location/s or element/s of the proposal, it would be helpful if you could identify them in your submission.
