EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(Various Roads Kilmarnock - Town Centre
(Temporary Road Closures and Suspension of One WayTraffic ) Order 2025

On 06 May 2025 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above- named Order, to facilitate Roon The Toon Event.


TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – Various Roads , Kilmarnock - Town Centre

Dundonald Road - In its Entirety, Fowlds Street - In its Entirety, Green Street – from its junction with London Road southwards to its intersection with Sturrock Street, Holmes Road - from its junction with U34 Fairyhill Road north-east wards to its junction with Dundonald Road, John Finnie Street - from its junction with St Marnock Street/Dundonald Road/Portland Road northwards to its junction with Grange Place, King Street – In its Entirety, London Road (West Bound Lane only) – from its junction with Holehouse Road Westwards to its junction with Green Street, Old Mill Road – from its intersection with Welbeck Street to its junction with Sturrock Street/Armour Street, Portland Road – from its junction with St Marnock Street/Dundonald Road/John Finnie Street westwards to its junction with Grange Street, Portland Street– from its junction with West George Street southwards to its intersection with The Cross/King Street, Queens Drive – from its junction with B7072 Hurlford Road north-west wards to its junction intersection with Welbeck Street, St Marnock Street – In its Entirety, Sturrock Street – In its Entirety, The Cross – In its Entirety, U34 Fairyhill Road – In its Entirety, Welbeck Street – from its intersection with Queens Drive north-westwards to its intersection with Old Mill Road, A759 – from its junction with Dundonald Road/U34 Fairyhill Road northwards to its junction with A759 to Gatehead.

Short term restriction from the Car parks on Queens drive (Asda, Surrounding shops, ArnoldClark / Odeon) junctions as the race commences from Approx. (08.45 - 09.15hrs) They will then be opened Northbound only to Lawson Street as an exit.

SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC
King Street (between St Marnock Street and Titchfield Street) and St Marnock Street.

The Order will come into operation at 08:30 hrs until 13:30 hrs on 8th June 2025 or until the event is finished whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

Whilst roads are closed alternative routes will be signed accordingly on site.

Vehicular access to properties within the closed roads will be permitted on the instruction of the traffic management marshals when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.


EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(Various Roads,Loudoun Street Car Park, Mauchline) 
(Temporary Road Closure, Prohibition of Waiting & Suspended Waiting Restrictions) Order 2025

On 06 May 2025 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to facilitate the holding of Mauchline Holy Fair.

Road Closures:
Castle Street - Full Length Cowgate - Full Length
High Street - From Junction A76 to Junction Burngrange Lane
Loudoun Street Car Park - Full Car Park Closed

No Waiting At Any Time - Both Sides of Road:
Barskimming Road - From Junction of Loudoun Street to Junction of Beechgrove Road.

Beechgrove Road - From Junction of Barskimming Road for 200m.

Castle Street - From A76 Junction to Knowe Cowgate - From A76 Junction to Loudoun Street.

High Street - From A76 Junction to the Junction of Burngrange Lane.

Loudoun Street - From A76 Junction to Junction Barskimming Road.

Mansefield Road - From A76 junction to junction Cowgate.

The Order commences on 30 May 2025. The Event is expected to commence from 30 May 2025 at 12:00 until 31 May 2025 at 23:59.

The the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.

An alternative route is High Street Diversion A76 Cumnock Road South - Catrine Road - Hamilton Avenue - Mary Morrison - Sorn Road and Vice a Versa.


SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(West Portland Street, Troon) 
(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025

On 01 May 2025 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Power Works.

No Waiting At Any Time - West Portland Street, Troon
For 20m from No.5 West Portland Street to No.2 West Portland Street.

The disabled bays will remain accessible as the no parking cones will not affect access into them.

The Order commences on 19 May 2025 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. 

The works are expected to commence from 19 May 2025 at 08:00 with the restrictions remaining in place until 30 May 2025 at 17:00. 

Days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.


SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(B742 Sandyford - Mossblown) 
(Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025

On 01 May 2025 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing

Temporary Road Closure – B742 Sandyford- Mossblown for 2250m.

No Waiting At Any Time - B742 Sandyford - Mossblown for 2250m.

The Order commences on 19 May 2025 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 19 May 2025 at 08:00 until 02 June 2025 at 17:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day Monday to Friday with it being open out- with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected

Access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained when possible and safe to do so.

Access for vehicles over 4.2m will be maintained from the west point of closure when safe to do so. These vehicles do not follow diversion

An alternative route will be signed via B742 - A77 - Whitletts Roundabout - B743 - B742 and vice versa.
