Gaol Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To Trenching Works

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: U80012, Gaol Street, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80012, Gaol Street, Hereford, behind the Police Station. Grid Ref: 351300/239983.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A438 onto Union Street onto St Peters Square onto St Owens Street OR onto Delinquents Passage onto Gaol St onto St Owens Street and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to trenching works for new supply to car park works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 11th of May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 10 days.
