What is happening?

WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Bank St, Rixton & Woolston (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Bank St from its jct. with Dam Head Ln to its jct with Glazebrook Ln. The Order will be effective from 21st May 2025. The closure is for a period of 1 day. The alternative route will be via Dam Head Ln, Glazebrook Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Electricity North West to carry out pole replacement works.

Cross Ln, Croft (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Cross Ln from its jct. with Warrington Rd to its jct. with Lady Ln. The Order will be effective from 12th May 2025. The closure is for a period of 2 weeks. The alternative route will be via Lady Ln, Mustard Ln, Wigshaw Ln, Common Ln, Warrington Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Electricity North West to carry cable jointing works.

Star Ln, Lymm (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Star Ln from its jct. with Albany Rd to its jct. with Whitesands Rd. The Order will be effective from 2nd June 2025. The closure is for a period of 1 week. The alternative route will be via Booths Hill Rd, Camsley Rd, Warrington Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out works to a defective reinstatement.

Windmill Ln & Adj. St’s, Appleton (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which will be as follows: Prohibition of Driving & Clearway:

Windmill Ln from its jct. with Windmill Cl to its jct. with Quarry Ln;

Field Ln from its jct with Windmill Ln for 50m;

Cambridge Gardens from its jct. with Windmill Ln for 25m;

Quarry Ln from its jct. with Windmill Ln to its jct. with London Rd;

Temporary Suspension of The Borough of Warrington (Quarry Ln) (One Way Order) 2009 in so far as it relates to a section of Quarry Ln between Windmill Ln & London Rd.

The Order will be effective from 26th May 2025. The restrictions are for a period of 6 weeks, between 7pm & 7am. The alternative route for Windmill Ln/Quarry Ln will be via Red Ln, Kingsley Dr, Warren Dr, London Rd & vice versa. The restrictions are required for Carriageway Resurfacing.

Section 90A Highways Act 1980

Establishment of Road Hump – A49 BSIP Scheme – Corbet Street, Traffic Calming Measure 2025

Notice is hereby given that Warrington Borough Council intends, as part of the A49 Bus Service Improvement Plan scheme on A49 Winwick Rd propose to install a traffic calming feature, to provide pedestrians & cyclists with a ramp to & from the existing carriageway of Corbet St (Western extent) to the new footway/cycle track along the eastern side of A49 Winwick Rd in the vicinity of the Sub-station access road under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, with the effects detailed in the Schedule to this notice. Deposited documents may be viewed on-line at https://www.warrington.gov.uk/permanent-traffic-regulation-orders or Contact Warrington, 1 Time Sq, Warrington, WA1 2NT between 9am & 5pm, Monday to Friday. All representations both in support or objecting to the proposals must be in writing either by post or delivered by hand to Legal Services, East Annexe, Town Hall, Sankey St, Warrington, WA1 1UH or emailed to TROrepresentations@warrington.gov.uk by 22nd May 2025 & all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council & that the substance of any representation together with the name & address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.
