West Park Wolverhampton - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions

PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(VAISAKHI MELA) (WEST PARK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions)
Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Park Road East closed in both directions from its junction with Devon Road to its junction with ParkRoad West/Southgate.
· Park Avenue closed in both directions between its junctions with Park Road East and Bath Avenue.
· Southgate closed its entire length in both directions. Park Road West closed in both directions between its junctions with Summerfield Road and Park Road East/Southgate.
· Lansdowne Road closed its entire length in both directions. Vehicular Diversion Route: Newhampton Road East, Devon Road and vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the closure will operate from 08:00 until 18:00 on 4 May 2025.
The Order is required to facilitate the Vaisakhi Mela Event taking place at West Park.
