VARIATION OF CHARGES FOR BUSINESS PARKING PERMITS (APRIL 2025)

NOTICE is given by the Oxfordshire County Council (the "Council") pursuant to Section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Section 5 of the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, that the Council proposes to vary the parking permit charges in:

  • the Oxford Parking Order (for Oxford City and North Hinksey Controlled Parking Zones),

  • the Henley Parking Order (for Henley), and

  • the Vale of White Horse District Zones,

These revised charges have been increased in accordance with the latest Consumer Prices Index. The revised charges are in line with the approved budgets set at Cabinet in January 2024.

The new charges will come into effect on 1 April 2025:

(GREAT MILTON, LITTLE MILTON, GREAT HASELEY, AND TIDDINGTON WITH ALBURY AREA)

SPEED LIMITS) 2025

NOTICE is given that on 28 April 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 5 May 2025 introduces 20mph speed limits in Tiddington with Albury (including Milton Common) by reducing the 30mph speed limits.

  1. The following 20mph speed limit applies at the Tiddington/A418 end, all roads off/leading out to the following points:

    • A. Oxford Road:

      • eastwards – a point 340 metres west of its junction with Sandy Lane,

      • between and on – a point 250 metres south its junction with Oxford Road.

    • B. Sandy Lane – a point 220 metres south of its junction with the Bridleway/access to Albury View.

      1. Tiddington Road – 340 metres north of the junction to North Close.

  2. B. At Milton Common/A40, on the following lengths of road:

      1. Rycote Lane – for a distance of 245 metres northwards and a distance of 206 metres, southwards from its junction with A418

      1. Milton Road – a point 818m either side of the 20mph speed limit, and the 40mph speed limit to the A40 junction east of Milton Common

Oxfordshire County Council will review/repeal the 40mph limits at this location via the Albury Area (Speed Limit) Order 2023 as revoked/replaced.

(TETSWORTH PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that on 28 April 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 5 May 2025 introduces 20mph speed limits in Tetsworth by replacing the 30mph limits.

  1. A40 - High Street:

    • from its junction – a point 250 metres northwest of Marsh End,

    • to its easternmost end – 225 metres southeast of the A40/High Street.

  2. Marsh End – the entire length from its junction with A40/High Street.

  3. High Street – its entire length from the A40 High Street at the northwest and southeast junction.

Oxfordshire County Council (Restricted Roads) (Tetsworth Parish) Order 1999 is revoked/replaced.

(HAMPTON GAY & POYLE PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that on 28 April 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 6 May introduces a 20mph speed limit in Hampton Poyle, replacing the 30mph speed limit in its entirety in the areas as follows:

  1. Bletchingdon Road – from its junction with Church Lane/Oxford Road, north-eastwards for a distance of 265 metres.

  2. Church Lane – from its junction with Bletchingdon Road/Oxford Road, westwards for its entire length.

  3. Oxford Road – from its junction with Bletchingdon Road/Church Lane, south-eastwards for a distance of 450 metres.

The 40mph speed limits on the roads leading to/from the A34 junction at Islip from an earlier consultation remain unaffected by these proposals.
