Consolidation Order 2024 (Variation No.4) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order shall be to amend the North Somerset Council (Speed Limit Restrictions, North Somerset) Consolidation Order 2024 to include 20mph restriction in roads within Congresbury. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this Notice. Construction of road humps and raised tables
Brinsea Road, Congresbury
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (hereinafter called "the Act") and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with section 90C (1) of the Act and those bodies or persons prescribed by the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 (hereinafter called "the Regulations") and in accordance with section 90C (2) of the Act intends to construct a raised table and speed cushions at the locations specified in the Schedule to this notice.
Flat Top Road Hump referred to in Schedule 1 will extend across the whole width of the carriageway and will be 75mm in height and 5.8m long, subject to tolerances in the Regulations. Speed Cushions referred to in Schedule 2 will be in pairs, each cushion being 2m long, 1.6m wide and 75mm in height, subject to the tolerances in the Regulations.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)
Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:
Kewstoke Road, Kewstoke, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 27 May 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to erect poles in grass verge. This order will become operative on the 27 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 14 May 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure for Galliford Try to enable overhead telecoms works. This order will become operative on the 14 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 night in duration between 8pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic and pedestrian signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule – Drove Road at the roundabout between Hildesheim Bridge and Drove Road northbound on B3440 to opposite Bridge Road.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 12 May 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to install new ducting. This order will become operative on the 12 May 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to lay a new duct. This order will become operative on the 12 May 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians
Date coming into force: 1 May 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for works access and emergency services.
This order was required because of works being executed on the footpath by North Somerset Council to install signage on and above the footpath. This order will become operative on 1 May 2025, for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the work which is anticipated to be of 4 weeks duration. Appropriate signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule – Footpath AX31/14/10 Spider Lane from its junction with Royal Parade to a point 50m east of the junction with Royal Parade.
Alternative routes – Royal Parade, Knightstone Road, South Parade, public footpath AX31/14/10 and vice-versa.
