Station Road - Prohibition All Vehicular Traffic For Works
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
(STATION ROAD) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 24 April 2025 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Station Road from its junction with B9198 to a point 130 metres southwestwards for 20 metres in a southwesterly direction.
2. The alternative route for traffic will be signed on site as required.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles and personnel engaged in the said works.
5. The Order will come into operation on 28 May 2025 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 2 June 2025 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
