U6518 Maitland Terrace - Temporary Road Closure

U6518 MAITLAND TERRACE BACK LANE NEWBIGGIN-BY-THE-SEA
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6518 Maitland Terrace Back Lane Newbiggin-by-the-sea from its junction with Gibson Street heading in a westerly direction for a distance of 40 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 12th May 2025 until the 12th November 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 12th May 2025 between 08:00 hours and16:00 hours during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the B1334 and U6518. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
