Beatrice Street, Rosalind Street And Chestnut Street – Temporary Footway Closure

BEATRICE STREET ROSALIND STREET AND CHESTNUT STREET ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE)
ORDER No 2 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 5th May 2025 until the 12th August 2025
Footway Closures
U6530 Beatrice Street, Ashington from its junction with First Avenue heading southwards for a distance of 155 metres
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via First Avenue, Beatrice Street Katherine Street Back Lane, Second Avenue and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
U6531 Beatrice Street, Ashington from its junction with Second Avenue heading southwards for a distance of 150 metres
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Second Avenue, Beatrice Street Katherine Street Back Lane, Third Avenue and vice-versa.
It is expected that the footways will only be closed from the 5th May 2025 until the 20th May 2025, the footways will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th August 2025.
U6530 Rosalind Street, Ashington from its junction with First Avenue heading southwards for a distance of 155 metres
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via First Avenue, Rosalind Street Beatrice Street Back Lane, Second Avenue and vice-versa.
U6531 Rosalind Street, Ashington from its junction with Second Avenue heading southwards for a distance of 150 metres
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Second Avenue, Rosalind Street Beatrice Street Back Lane, Third Avenue and vice-versa.
It is expected that the footways will only be closed from the 6th May 2025 until the 26th May 2025, the footways will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th August 2025.
U6525 Chestnut Street, Ashington from its junction with Third Avenue heading southwards for a distance of 150 metres
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Third Avenue, Chestnut Street Hawthorn Road Back Lane, Fourth Avenue and vice-versa.
U6526 Chestnut Street, Ashington from its junction with Second Avenue heading southwards for a distance of 150 metres.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Second Avenue, Chestnut Street Hawthorn Road Back Lane, Third Avenue and vice-versa.
U6527 Chestnut Street, Ashington from its junction with First Avenue heading southwards for a distance of 155 metres
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via First Avenue, Chestnut Street Hawthorn Road Back Lane, Second Avenue and vice-versa.
U6528 Chestnut Street, Ashington from its junction with Woodhorn Road heading southwards for a distance of 165 metres
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Woodhorn Road, Chestnut Street Hawthorn Road Back Lane, First Avenue and vice-versa
It is expected that the footways will only be closed from the 12th May 2025 until the 2nd June 2025, the footways will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th August 2025.

The closure has been requested by Advanced Utility Solutions to install ducts for fibre broadband.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
