Henrietta Street - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
HENRIETTA STREET, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Henrietta Street, Preston for its full length for traffic travelling northbound only.
2. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Henrietta Street Preston for its full length.
3. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
4. The prohibition in Article 1 will be operative from 0001 hours on Tuesday 6th May 2025 until 2359 hours on Friday 19th December 2025.
5. The prohibition in Article 2 shall be operative from 0001 hours on Monday 1st September 2025 until 2359 hours on Friday 17th October 2025.
6. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
7. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
St Mary Street – Henrietta Street and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow electricity substation works to be carried out.
