Multiple Roads In Farnborough - Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting And On Street Parking Places
What is happening?
GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 29th April 2025, in exercise of its powers and duties under 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 39, 53, 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act. General nature and effectS of the Order: Will be to vary parking and waiting restrictions in The Rushmoor Borough Council (Various Roads in Farnborough) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and On Street Parking Places) (Farnborough Consolidation) (C0021) Order 2021 insofar as it relates to schedules 1.06, 2.01, 4.08 and 7.05 of that order as described in Schedules I – IV (respectively) below:
SCHEDULE I Items to be added to Schedule 1.06: ‘Waiting prohibited at any time on any day’ Road Side Length Camp Road Both From its junction with Old Lynchford Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 15 metres. Old Lynchford Road South From a point 15 metres west of its junction with Camp Road in an easterly, southerly and then westerly direction for a distance of 85 metres. Old Lynchford Road South From a point 79 metres west of its junction with Camp Road in a westerly then southerly direction for a distance of 4 metres. Lynchford Road South From a point 96 metres west of its junction with Camp Road in an easterly then southerly direction for a distance of 6.5 metres. Lynchford Road South From a point 115 metres west of its junction with Camp Road in a westerly then southerly direction to its junction with Lynchford Road (St Albans Roundabout). Old Lynchford Road North From a point 39 metres east of its junction with Camp Road in an easterly then southerly direction to its junction with Lynchford Road. Old Lynchford Road North From a point 124 metres west of its junction with Camp Road in a westerly direction to its junction with Alexandra Road (St Albans Roundabout). Old Lynchford Road North From its junction with Camp Road in an easterly and westerly direction for a distance of 3 metres. SCHEDULE II Items to be added to
Schedule 2.01: ‘Waiting prohibited at all times except for the loading and unloading of goods vehicles’ Road Side Length Lynchford Road North From a point 21.5 metres northeast of its junction with Old Lynchford Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 30 metres. SCHEDULE III Items to be added to Schedule 4.08: ‘Waiting limited to one hour for motorcycles only between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm (Mondays to Saturdays inclusive)’ Road Side Length Old Lynchford Road South From a point 24.5 metres west of its junction with Camp Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 6.5 metres.
SCHEDULE IV Items to be added to Schedule 7.05: ‘Pay & display parking, between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm, one Hour, no return within one hour (Mondays to Saturdays inclusive)’ Road Side Length Old Lynchford Road South From a point 31 metres west of its junction with Camp Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 48 metres.
DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Saturday 10th May 2025

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 10th June 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
