Lynchford Road, Farnborough - Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting And On Street Parking

What is happening?

that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 29th April 2025, in exercise of its powers and duties under 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 39, 53, 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act. General nature and effectS of the Order: Will be to vary The Rushmoor Borough Council (Various Roads in Farnborough) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and on Street Parking Places) (Farnborough Consolidation) (C0021) Order 2021 insofar as it relates to schedules 1.01, 4.02, and 4.08 of that order as described in Schedules I-III (respectively) below:
SCHEDULE I
Items to be added to Schedule 1.01: ‘Waiting prohibited, including loading and unloading at all times’ Road Side Length  Lynchford Road North From its junction with Old Lynchford Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 21.5 metres. Lynchford Road North From a point 51 metres northeast of its junction with Old Lynchford Road in a north easterly direction to its junction with Peabody Road.  Lynchford Road North From its junction with Peabody Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 24 metres. Lynchford Road North From a point 39.5 metres east of its junction with Peabody Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 7 metres. Lynchford Road  North From a point 50 metres east of its junction with Peabody Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 5 metres. Lynchford Road North From a point 157 metres east of its junction with Peabody Road in an easterly direction to its junction with Morris Road. Lynchford Road North  From its junction with Morris Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 80 metres.

SCHEDULE II Items to be added to Schedule 4.02: ‘Waiting limited to 20 minutes, no return within one hour between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm (Mondays to Saturdays inclusive)’ Road Side Length Lynchford Road North From a point 24 metres east of its junction with Peabody Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres. Lynchford Road North From a point 56.5 metres east of its junction with Peabody Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 100.5 metres. Lynchford Road North From a point 142 metres east of its junction with Peabody Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres.
SCHEDULE III I
tems to be added to Schedule 4.08: ‘Waiting limited to one hour for motor cycles only between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm (Mondays to Saturdays inclusive) Road Side  Length Lynchford Road North From a point 50 metres east of its junction with Peabody Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 6.5 metres.
DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Saturday 10th May 2025.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT
: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 10th June 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
