ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(ASTROP ROAD, KINGS SUTTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Astrop Road, Kings Sutton as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Astrop Road, Kings Sutton from Upper Astrop Road to Sports Pavilion.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during tree cutting works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 19th May 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for one day.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Green Lane, Main Street, Charlton Road, Banbury Road and Mill Lane.

(CHRISTCHURCH ROAD, NORTHAMPTON) 

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Christchurch Road, Northampton as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Christchurch Road, Northampton from Ardington Road to Park Avenue South.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 21st May 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for one day.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Park Avenue South, King Edward Road and Ardington Road.

(NORTH STREET, ROTHERSTHORPE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of North Street, Rothersthorpe as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of North Street, Rothersthorpe from Church Street to access to Meadow Lakes.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway and culvert works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 19th May 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for five days.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Gayton Road, Towcester Road, Ladybridge Drive, Danes Camp Way, Upton Valley Way East and Banbury Lane.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Russet Drive, Northampton as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Russet Drive, Northampton from Little Billing Road to Orchard Hill.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 22nd May 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Gladstone Road, Northampton as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Gladstone Road, Northampton from Mill Lane to Merthyr Road.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 19th May 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for two days.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Mill Lane, Harlestone Road and Spencer Bridge Road.

(WOOD BURCOTE, TOWCESTER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Wood Burcote, Towcester as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Wood Burcote, Towcester from the junction of the A43 slip road to Taunton Way.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 6th May 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted until for up to four days.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Taunton Way, Cowpastures Lane and A413.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Kingswell Road, Northampton as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Kingswell Road, Northampton from High Street to Mill Lane.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 8th May 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for one day.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use High Street, Welford Road, Harborough Road and Mill Lane.
