(A810 DUNTOCHER ROAD, NEAR BEARSDEN)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

On 01 May 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works, and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on the A810 Duntocher Road near Bearsden between its junction with Peel Glen Road, near Bearsden and the East Dunbartonshire Council and West Dunbartonshire Council boundary (approximately 110 metres or thereby northeast of its junction with Faifley Road) by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Sunday, 18 May 2025 until 18.00 hours on Sunday, 01 June 2025.

Alternative Routes

The alternative routes will be by way of the A810 Duntocher Road, the A809 Drymen Road, Bearsden, Canniesburn Toll Roundabout, the A739 Switchback Road, Bearsden, Bearsden Road, Crow Road, the A82 Great Western Road, the A8014 Kilbowie Road, Hardgate, and the A810 Glasgow Road, and these routes will be signposted.

Vehicles exceeding the low railway bridge maximum height of 4.4 metres on the A739 Bearsden Road within Glasgow City Council’s area will be diverted by way of the A82 Great Western Road, Dorchester Avenue, Cleveden Road, Skaethorn Road, Cowal Road, and the A81 Maryhill Road, and these routes will be sign posted in advance, in both directions at Anniesland Cross and Canniesburn Toll Roundabout, Bearsden.
