(Aldwick, Bognor Regis & Felpham: Bognor 10K Run)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 14 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the following roads in Bognor Regis and Felpham:

Silverston Avenue: from Furse Feld to Marine Drive West, Kings Parade: throughout its entire length, Nyewood Lane: from Kings Parade to Marine Drive West, Marine Drive West: from Silverston Avenue to Nyewood Lane, The Esplanade: throughout its entire length, Gloucester Road: (southbound carriageway only) throughout its entire length, High Street: Southbound carriageway only) from its junction with Gloucester Road to its junction with Upper Bognor Road, Upper Bognor Road: (westbound carriageway only), from the B2259 to Felpham Road, Felpham Road: (southbound carriageway only) from Upper Bognor Road to Admiralty Road, Admiralty Road: throughout its entire length, Blakes Road: from Admiralty Road to Vicarage Lane, Vicarage Lane: (southbound carriageway only) from Blakes Road to Limmer Lane, Limmer Lane: (westbound carriageway only) from Vicarage Lane to Jacken Close.

In addition to the intended closure of the above roads, a contingency route is also being planned in case flood pumping works are ongoing at the time of the event. If needed, this route will also close the whole length of Sea Road, Longbrook and Outram Road. During the operative period of the Order the One-Way traffic restriction on the northbound carriageway of Silverston Avenue will be suspended. These road closures are needed to allow the Bognor 10k Run to take place in safety. The Order will come into effect on 18 May 2025 at 0700 hours and remain in force until 1500 hours. The roads will be closed on a ‘rolling’ basis and will be re-opened as runners pass along the event route. Alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site and access to properties on the affected roads will be maintained. (Boxgrove, Westhampnett Singleton & Lavant Goodwoof Event)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than seven days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:

(i)   prohibit vehicles from travelling along New Road between Kennel Hill Road and New Barn Hill; and

(ii)  to require all Vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 30 MPH on Trundle Hill/Kennel Hill Road from a point 100 M south of Knights Hill to a point 100 M north of New Road; and

(iii) to require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 40MPH on Trundle Hill, from Knights Hill southwards for 100 M and on Kennel Hill Road, from New Road northwards for 100 M. This Order will be operative from 0800 hours on 16 May 2025 and is necessary to aid in the management of traffic including pedestrians accessing the Goodwoof event and the event car parks. The speed limit will be operative from 0800 hours on 16 May 2025 until 1700 hours on 19 May 2025. The road closure will be in place daily between 1300 hours and 1900 hours on 17 May 2025 and 18 May 2025.

(Bognor Regis: Victoria Drive)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Victoria Drive in Bognor Regis from its junction with Linden Road, northeastwards for 75m. The road closure is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety. The Order will come into effect on 19 May 2025 and remain in force until 30 May 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Arun District: Various Roads)

(Roads Maintenance Programme) 

(Temporary Traffic Regulation No.2) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, temporarily prohibit waiting at any time and temporarily introduce a 20 MPH speed limit throughout the whole length (unless otherwise stated) of the flowing roads in Arun District:

ARUNDEL: Bond Street; ALDWICK Nyetimber Lane from Leonora Drive to Gossamer Lane; BERSTED A259 from Shripney Road (A29) to Rowan Way, Shripney Road (A259) From Rowan Way (A259) to Charles Purley Way (A259); BOGNOR REGIS Crescent Road; EAST PRESTON: Seawaves Close, The Street, Vermont Drive; LITTLEHAMPTON: Horsham Road (B2187) from East Street to Oakcroft Gardens, Norman Close, Peregrine Road, Southfields Road from Horsham Road to Parkside Avenue, Wick Street from the A259 to North Street; LYMINSTER & CROSSBUSH Lyminster Road (A284) from the A27, southwards to Church Lane.

These restrictions are needed to allow road maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take up to three days and dates for works will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time they are carried out. The Order will come into effect on 5 May 2025 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Sidlesham: Mill Lane)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Mill Lane between Rookery Lane and The Crab and Lobster. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst electrical upgrade works are undertaken. The Order came into effect on 6 May 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on 6 May 2025 and will take 3 weeks to complete. Whilst works are taking place all vehicles should follow the singed diversionary route.
