Chesterfield Road, Heage - Temporary Road Closure

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
CHESTERFIELD ROAD, HEAGE
WHEN: 07 May to 27 May 2025.
WHERE: Chesterfield Road, Heage between
the entrance to Heage Windmill and the
entrance to Prospect Farm.
REASON: To facilitate the transfer of low
voltage overhead electricity cables
underground.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Chesterfield Road,
Church Street, Eagle Street, Ripley Road,
Upper Hartshay, Heage Road, Cromford Road,
Hartshay Hill, A610 Ripley Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever
reasonably possible, on the affected length of
road. The road will re-open as soon as the work
is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

Council has made an Order under Section 14 of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as
amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
