ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
MANUEL STREET, GOOLE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the entire length of Gordon Street, Goole commencing 9 June 2025 until
1 August 2025 between 08.00 hours until 16.30 hours Monday to Friday to allow for Gas main replacement works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 57 days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Boothferry Road, Newport Street and Marcus Street, Goole CP, Goole South Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and pedestrians. Residents parking will be outside of working hours only.
